Emily Cole has been a member of the Oregon Symphony since 2011 and currently serves on the faculty of Lewis & Clark College. She has performed with the Dallas and Seattle Symphonies, the Grant Park Festival Orchestra, and numerous regional orchestras throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Emily has held concertmaster and principal positions at the National Orchestral Institute and at the International Festival-Institute at Round Top. She was the first place winner for violin in the 2003 Washington State Music Educators Competition. In 2004, she appeared as a soloist with the Seattle Symphony and conductor Gerard Schwarz. As a recitalist, Emily appeared on the 2008 Green Recital Series at the Carnegie Cultural Center in Ottawa, Kansas, a performance that was recorded for Kansas Public Television.

Emily received her Master of Music as a student of Emanuel Borok at the University of North Texas, where she also held a teaching fellowship. She received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Austin as a student of Brian Lewis. Originally from Seattle, WA, Emily was a longtime student of former Seattle Symphony concertmaster Ilkka Talvi.
